As a contemporary art space, large-scale sculptures and installations are periodically in-progress or on display, and can add a unique bit of character to your affair. Featuring the building’s original brick facade and walls alongside exposed beams and floor-to-ceiling windows, MadArt Space provides a distinctive yet versatile space for a variety of gatherings, including corporate meetings, intimate dinners, and cocktail soirees.
Constructed in the 1920s, the original brick storefront was once a car dealership and later a DMV where the first driving tests were conducted. Nearly a decade later, this historic building has once again been re-imagined with the help of celebrated Seattle design firm, Graham Baba Architects, this time as a hub for unique events and artistic innovation. Nearly 3800 square feet, a full kitchen, and high ceilings make MadArt Space the ideal location for a reception of up to 225 guests (150 seated), or a celebratory meal with your closest friends and family.
Get in touch with our event coordinator, stop by to see the space for yourself, and let us help you create a memorable experience for you and your guests.

The Museum of Flight chronicles the history of flight, a story of vision and achievement that marks this century as unique in the whole of human history. Our purpose is to increase the knowledge, enjoyment, and self-discovery of flight and to stimulate an interest in science and technology for our visitors.
We welcome the opportunity to serve the community by allowing private event use of the Museum. As a non-profit foundation, private events help earn operating income, thereby expanding our educational efforts, and they introduce a new audience to The Museum of Flight.

Through the use of science, tech, engineering, and math, we provide the children with a simple principle to work with, such as potential energy. From there, they are invited to tackle a challenge we offer, in this case, building roller coasters. They design, build,m and test, and rebuild, using scientific principles of thought, and all in tribes of 4-5 each group. They arrive on the island via a helicopter they fashion out of paper and paper clips and from there, they will be placed in tribes with "buffs" to wear and tribal make-up to create a sense of being on a team. Using adult thinking skills such as creativity and critical thinking, these children will take on the challenges with exuberance! The island themes are meant to keep the challenges fresh and lively. Shark Tooth Island, where they learn all sorts of facts about sharks, while building boats, bridges and blow carts; Amusement Park Island, where they build their own rides such as roller coasters and spinning tops and zip line rides. Carnival, where they build their own air show, and Volcano where they build lava lamps, buildings in earthquake zones, and volcanoes -- woo-hooo! For birthday parties, we provide teachers, the craft materials to perform the challenges, the island mats, invitations, decorations, and we can even get your cake decorated to match the island of your choice! Challenge Island is based upon a popular TV show where the contestants land on the island and face their challenges. But on ours, nobody ever gets kicked off! We offer this party for boys and girls and team building for adults. This is a tremendous way to encourage children to believe in themselves and feel good about their achievements, while being entertained and celebrating the birthday of one of their friends. For adults, this is wonderful for retreats, new teams that need to bond, and corporate team building events. Outthink, Outsmart, and Outplay on Challenge Island!
