In September 2007, our mother was diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. Her treatment required six months in the hospital. Over time, we became more creative and on each visit redecorated her room with new scenes. Month after month, her room was the talk of the hospital! The nurses, doctors, volunteers, and even other patients stopped in to appreciate the comforting feel of her room. Our mother loved her caring wall, taking great pleasure in watching us decorate, and delighting in the transformation that occurred. Instead of staring at bare hospital walls, she was surrounded by pictures of her loved ones and the concept of our company, CaringWalls, was born.
