Thanksgiving Casseroles

Make a delicious Thanksgiving casserole for your turkey day dinner. Serve Thanksgiving casseroles as side dishes to complement the main dishes or prepare them for after the big feast when snacking is in order.
 
 
Thanksgiving casserole recipes:
 
Sweet Potato Casserole
  • 3 cups mashed sweet potatoes
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • ½ cup of sugar
  • ½ tsp. of salt
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • ¼ cup cream
  • 1 ½ tsp. vanilla extract
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 3 tbsp. melted butter
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Blend the first seven casserole ingredients together and spread them into a buttered casserole dish. Combine the brown sugar, flour and butter together for the topping and sprinkle it over the casserole. Bake the casserole (without a cover) for 35 minutes. Remove the casserole from the oven and sprinkle the marshmallows on top of the casserole. Place the casserole back in the oven and cook for 5 minutes to melt the marshmallows. Remove the casserole from the oven and serve.

Green Bean Casserole
 
  • 10.75 ounces condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tsp. soy sauce
  • ¼ tsp. ground pepper
  • 8 cups cooked green beans
  • 1 2/3  cups fried onions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Combine the milk, soup, soy sauce, pepper, beans and onions in a three quart casserole dish. Stir the mixture together. Bake the casserole for 25 minutes. Stir and top the casserole with a sprinkle of onions. Bake the casserole for an additional five minutes and serve it to guests.
