DIY Spring Party Favors

With so many spring celebrations to plan for, it's essential to have some great DIY spring party favors on hand for guests to take home as a sweet rememberance of the party. Since the weather is beginning to warm and everything is coming alive after a long winter, use the outdoors as inspiration for spring party favors. We collected some sweet spring party favor ideas that even the most novice DIY-er can do.
Mini Potted Succulents
You'll need mini flower pots, a variety of succulents (purchased at hardware stores or grocery stores), potting soil and blackboard stickers (found at office supply stores). Carefully pot one or two little succulents in each pot using a healthy amount of potting soil. Water and set aside until the water has drained. Place a sticker on each pot and write each guest's name on it. Succulents are easy to take care of and are a green reminder of spring!
Brownie Parfaits
You'll need small mason jars with lids, bakers twine, plastic spoons, brownie mix, hot fudge and whipping cream (whipped). Wash each jar and allow to dry completely. Bake the brownies according to the instructions and allow to cool. Use a circle cookie cutter (smaller than the diameter of the mason jars, or use a mason jar lid) to cut small circles of brownie. Layer brownie, fudge and cream two times and secure the lid. Tie twine around the jar and secure the spoon to the front. Give away as a portable dessert after all the festivities are over.
Spring Tote Bag
You'll need tote bags (found at craft stores in packages of multiples), flower stencils, fabric paint pen (found at craft stores) and tissue paper. Iron the front of each bag using an iron on low heat. Place on a table with a piece of paper in between the front and back of the bag (to prevent paint from bleeding through). Choose a stencil and secure in place on the bag with tape. Use the paint pen to draw and color in the stencil. Remove the stencil and allow bag to dry for a few hours. Repeat with all the bags, doing different flower designs on each. Once they are all dry, fill with tissue paper and hand out at festive spring favors.
One of the best things about going to a party is what you come with as a favor. Use one or more of these fun DIY ideas to really spice up the conclusion of your spring fiesta!
