Coming from East Lyme CT, Hands Down began from the ruins of a classic rock band. Jack and Cody stuck together to focus on more modern music, and become more than just your ordinary highschool band.
With the addition of long time friend, Aaron Maddux on drums, and Cody's older brother Alex on the bass, the band began played covers from bands such as OAR and Third Eye Blind.
Now with a few years under their belt, dozens of shows and a growing fan base, Hands Down has begun writing their own music, fusing together all of their influences. With the management of Addison Station, they have started taking their writing to the next level. They also merged into a more alternative sound taking their biggest influences from All Time Low.
They released their 6 song EP, "Live In The Moment" in early summer of 2012, with tracks that show all sides of the bands influences. They plan to release a music video for their song "Goodbye Baby" in summer 2012.
